These are seeds of a typical variety selected in the territory of Ragusa and in particular in the area of Giarratana, from which it takes its name. This onion is very appreciated for its unique flavor, sweet and delicate and for its large size. When harvested, the oval-shaped onions can reach a considerable specific weight of about 3 kg.
